Lego Star Wars is another oldish game that was ahead of its time. I have many opinions for and against this game.
The first reason I dislike it is the fact you can’t play solo because if you don’t have a real life person sitting next to you with the other controller the game just has a useless npc that follows you around which after 10 or so minutes gets frustrating and annoying.
The second reason kinda connects to the first because if you have a real person playing the game with you and you both want to go separate directions the game drags you towards the other player and you have a huge chance of falling off the platform because of that.
The last thing I don’t like about this game is probably just a from personal experience. The game has the feature where you can “drop out” that makes your character become that npc thing I mentioned earlier. I have three older sisters and the one I would mainly play it with was Ashley and she would make me drop out anytime I couldn’t do something or couldn’t understand something, and that just hurt.
It’s not something I hate about the game but it does upset me but the way the did my boy Anakin’s character so dirty.
Like how do you go from this to this.
But the multiple good things in this game outweigh the bad.
One of the earliest memories I have is playing Lego Star Wars and flying off the platform in the Phantom menace level as R2D2 just to hear him go “ReeEEEeeUUuuuU”. For a six year old that is the funniest thing ever.
In attack of the clones there’s this room where if you follow the pattern on the floor until the whole floor lights up it’s because a disco party. My sister and I only recently discovered this because her boyfriend who has also been playing the game sense he was a kid.
My sister and I have this ritual of every time we play the first level on phantom menace I have to be Slave Leia and she has to be Darth Maul and I stand on the table and hold down “C” to make Leia start dancing and she would use the force on the chairs to make them dance around the table.
There is this one world where you have to destroy everything and collect all the coins before you can leave and Ashley and I can destroy almost everything in about five minutes but we always forget that one flower in the corner and it always makes us lose.
The lobby is a good place to leave off this game. The lobby has constant wholesome vibes with that cantina playing on a loop. With one accidental swing of your lightsaber you can send the room into chaos.
Okie bye 🙂
